Ford kicks off Abróchate Por Amor 7-day Social Media Challenge to Promote Seatbelt Usage
Buckle up for safety and for love this Valentine’s Day by joining Ford Motor Company in the Abróchate Por Amor campaign promoting regular safety belt usage. There is no better way to protect both ourselves and our loved ones year-round than by wearing seatbelts.
Starting February 9th, take on the 7-day social media challenge, which promotes regular safety belt usage, especially among new and young drivers, by challenging yourself and your loved ones to wear seatbelts every day. Celebrate safe driving habits by sharing a selfie on your Facebook, Instagram and/or Twitter accounts using the hashtag #AbrochatePorAmor.
According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) seatbelts have saved nearly 300,000 lives since 1975 in the U.S. alone. Some of the most recent car accident statistics in Florida reveal that in 2013 alone, a reported 36,179 car crashes involving teenagers left 8,967 teen drivers and 7,049 teen passengers injured.
